Lumpia Bros is a traveling restaurant. We serve Filipino inspired street food including our fried spring rolls aka Lumpia. The concept was developed by chef David Dualan, a 5th generation chef, whose grandfather would always make lumpia for him as a kid.
I loved to snack on lumpia whenever I had the opportunity. When I started my first head chef job my grandfather insisted I put lumpia on the menu and I agreed. He would purchase the products and produce them for me. They were always a customer favorite item and also a conversation starter. People would either have already experienced Lumpia and already have a love for Filipino food or would have absolutely no idea what a lumpia was, which would usually lead to me starting to get into my family history while trying to explain how delicious they are.
I always have had a passion for cooking. Like many other chefs, I would always think about how awesome it would be to have the opportunity to run my own restaurant and to be able to serve food that I love and that means something to me. I have made up so many different menus, recipes, and restaurant concepts but there was always a certain style of food that I really loved to cook. Finally having the opportunity to share my passion for cooking while cooking food that I love to cook is like a dream come true.
